The Rapahoe Beach Motor Camp is situated along the Coastal Highway which was recently voted by Lonely Planet as one of the best coast highway drives in the world.

 

Your hosts, Jan and Peter Fletcher, are long term residents of the area and are happy to share their favourite secret spots and show you unforgettable walking tracks and swimming beaches.

 

With the charming bunk houses converted from the historic school buildings to the hedged tent sites, Rapahoe Beach Motor Camp has much to offer visitors.

All units have toasters and jugs to make tea and coffee, as well as cutlery and crockery.
Wireless internet is available.
All units have heaters.
Extra bedding is available for hire.
Booster aerial for cell phones is provided.
Guest laundry with two washing machines and a dryer.

Most units have a TV.
Some tent/power sites have sea views.
The site has several stone fireplace/barbeques fired by driftwood.
Inside games available in the guest lounge include darts, and board games.
Outside games include volley ball, petanque, badminton, table tennis, and there is a swimming pool.
Pets, including dogs, are welcome; subject to conditions.
Great children’s playground with swings and slides for the little ones and a jungle gym and trampoline for older kids.
Activities around the camp include swimming and walking, gemstone hunting, walking tracks, surfcasting and rock fishing.
Beautiful outside gardens in which to relax, or if you are spending time inside you’ll enjoy the heaps of colourful potplants.
Security system which includes closed circuit video system, to ensure you can relax in full knowledge your belongings are well looked after.
A waste water/dump station in available on site.

Located on the edge of Paparoa National Park, the camp is central to the entire West Coast; however, if you don’t feel much like traveling to sightsee in the region, don’t worry, you are right on the only swimming beach in the area where you can even sit and have breakfast on the beach and watch as dolphins play in the breakers.
